According To The Power

Greetings! Are you excited about this new season of dream fulfillment? Are you ready to make a fresh start on your journey to wholeness? Are you prepared to live your highest life starting now? If your answer is a resounding yes, read on😇.

Each of us has an innate desire for purpose and meaning in our lives. We want to be loving, healthy, successful, prosperous, giving, fulfilled, happy human beings. We seek spiritual, mental, and physical balance in all areas of our lives. We long to make a difference in this world that continues long after we have passed through. To this end, we hunger and thirst for knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Today, we have advanced technology, mass media, and the Internet to keep us in a state of trying to keep up with the rapidly increasing information that is now available at our fingertips. None of this should be a surprise, as the Bible clearly states in the book of Daniel 12:4: "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Could it be that we're searching in the wrong places for that which is hidden?
Jesus said, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

We begin with the first step in any journey - pinpointing where you are in relationship to where you want to be.

It's time for you to go where you've never gone before. It's time to see what you've never seen before. It's time to hear what you've never heard before. I'm praying for you, as you're all packed and ready to go; and I know that you'll reach exactly where you're meant to be based on the choices that you make. God be with you.

Be encouraged,

Tips and Products for Healthy Moisturized Happy Skin

Greetings! Did you know that the average adult has more than 8 pounds of skin? That's right, your skin is your largest organ. Not only that, your skin protects you from so many environmental hazards - as well as, harmful bacteria, viruses, and other toxins. Your skin is also connected to your immune system. So, don't you think you should be doing more to keep your skin healthy and happy? Of course, it starts with drinking adequate water for your body weight for internal hydration - eating plenty of fruits and vegetables - exercising - and getting the necessary amount of sleep. In fact, it flows from the inside out. In other words, the healthier your internal organs, the better you look on the outside. The more attention you give to a healthy lifestyle, the less premature aging you will experience. Imagine a life without premature wrinkles, dry skin, age spots, rashes, and other skin conditions due to unhealthy living. Say it with me, "all things are possible for those who believe".😇

But, did you know that what you apply to your skin also seeps into your body? Yes, that's true. So, in this video, I've included some very basic natural and organic products to keep your skin healthy, moisturized, and happy: so that it flows from the inside out, and the outside in.

You can also find my line of products, niEL's Heavenly Apothecary, here.

Nine Tips For Daily Peace and Rejuvenation!

Have you ever wondered why some people always seem to be in a good mood - why some people always seem to have a good day? Do you know people who always see the good in everything - the glass is always half full? How about people who are always at peace? You might even think they're faking it. Some are! However, it is possible to live a life of contentment😇. It's all in your perspective. It's what you believe. We are our thoughts! So, that means you are only thoughts away from a new reality. We attract to ourselves at the frequency of our thoughts. You knew I had to get it in somewhere in this message😇. The challenge is understanding how everything you think, say, and do contributes to the quality of your life. Everything is connected. The thoughts you think - words you speak - things you do - things you don't do - food you eat - music and words you hear - environment and atmosphere in which you dwell; it all makes you who you are.

Here's a strategy for you: set your intentions daily. Knowledge is facts and information. Understanding is the perception that follows knowledge. Wisdom is the application of truth. Truth says God has good plans for your life. Wisdom says set your attention on good. How, you might ask? I've learned that incorporating simple basic daily habits helps to keep me focused and peaceful. You might say I'm one of those people who chooses to see all things working together for the good of them that love the Lord😇. I choose to inspire. I choose to motivate. I choose to encourage. So, instead of getting frustrated by life, strategize! The tips in this video can help you get started. Be encouraged!

Frankincense

Greetings! I trust that all is well, and I thank you for reading and viewing this week's "musings". In this post, I'm going to allow pictures to speak to you. I hope you don't mind. In fact, I've heard that sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. Meaning, sometimes an idea can be conveyed with an image more effectively than a description. Hmm, maybe I should use pictures more often. Well, it won't just be a still image. I've also added words to the pictures for even more of a visual point. You know, I think pictures plus words ought to do it. It's really not that deep. But, maybe it is...depends on how far you want to travel down the rabbit hole. Okay, enough of that.

This week I'm going to very briefly share some of the amazing health benefits of frankincense. Even though frankincense has been around for thousands of years, it is an herb that is rarely discussed or recommended. Frankincense was one of the gifts given to Jesus by the wise men. That's enough to get my attention. So, even though I've only pictured a few uses for this powerful herb; it has culinary, medicinal, cosmetic, and other uses, as well. It's one of the herbs that I use in some way daily - unless, of course, I run out. However, that never seems to happen. I must say, I always have frankincense on hand to add to food, to use topically, or for spiritual purposes. That's right, we offer it on our online store. So, I guess I have no excuse😇. Health and blessings! Remember to share😊

The Open Door...

Greetings! First off, I think I have some explaining to do: yes, I'm also known as "thedetoxprophet". Why? Well, if you're following me on my four Facebook pages, Twitter, YouTube, other websites and blogs, you know that I believe in holistic wellness. In other words, I believe that there is a crucial connection between the spirit, soul, and body. You would also know that I believe that it is imperative that we maintain a clear passageway to receive by maintaining a cleansed system. This cleansing is accomplished through a very sophisticated process of holistic detoxification. So, since I specialize in helping people to detox their spirits, souls, and body; and a prophet delivers messages: hence "thedetoxprophet". Now that that's all cleared up, let's get to this week's message.

Have you ever been given an opportunity, but you just couldn't get to where you were going? You don't have to answer me. I already know the answer. It's yes, isn't it? How did I know? Because we all receive opportunities for change; and we all face obstacles as we move forward. Change requires growth. Are you ready? Let's call these opportunities doors, okay? I think we can agree that doors are either open or closed. So far, so good. Now, let's say, you receive an invitation to walk through an open door of great possibilities. Sounds wonderful!  Remember, the good promise is on the other side of the open door. Excited? This is going to be awesome! Uh-oh! I didn't tell you about the cost to change. I have a confession: I didn't tell you because the average person doesn't like change, especially the cost. It takes courage to change; and many people want the promise without the investment. So, they stand at the door looking out, but never passing through. Why? Because spiritual growth requires sacrifice, and sacrifice is hard. For some, it's easier to settle for mediocrity when life gets hard. But, the truth of the matter is: if it were easy, everybody would do it. Right? You know as soon as you step out in faith, your faith is tested. That's life. The next level requires a test. Remember when you were in school, and you needed to pass tests to move on to the next highest grade? Aha! Now you see what I'm talking about. It's only a test. Tests are necessary for growth that leads to change. I've learned that it's always harder right before a breakthrough, and this is where most people give up. Don't give up when it gets hard! Push past the discomfort of pain. You'll adjust to this new level in due time. Push past the obstacles. Keep moving! Keep you eyes on the promise. You can do this! You are not alone! Everyone who has ever made it to the next level has gone through the process to get there. "You won't get there until you walk through the open door." God is for you, and so am I.

Jesus Christ is my Lord! I'll be back next week with another message.

Relationships for Healing

Greetings! I was hoping you'd show up here. You know I wrote this blog just for you. How do I know that? Because, you're here. Am I getting deep too soon? Okay, I'll slow down a bit just for you. I actually began thinking about today's message earlier this morning. Well, it was earlier this morning for me. Anyway, I was excited to hear that I would be writing about relationships. Yay! Relationships are the conduits for healing. I've learned that no matter how casual or intimate, relationships teach us lessons that facilitate the manifestation of holistic healing. Healing begins in the spirit, down to the soul, and then into the body. So, what do relationships have to do with healing? I'm glad you asked? Thank you for allowing me to share the truth of this principle at its most basic casual level, so that the intensity of its fulfillment at a higher more intimate level is appreciated even without a backstory.

Have you ever been in a long line somewhere? Of course, I think we all have. Just thinking about long lines causes anxiety in some people. Many times, while we're standing in those slow moving long lines, the person standing closest to us initiates conversation. Now, I know some of you enjoy talking; but for others, silence is golden. So, let me talk to the introverts right now, even though you extroverts can see yourselves in this, as well. You're probably the ones doing the talking. Did I say that out loud? Okay, back to the scenario, you're standing there not wanting to talk at all. You just want to complete your transaction and be on your way. You smile. You nod your head. You feign interest. You look away. You look at the ceiling. You look at the floor. You look at your phone. You hope you get a text, or telephone call. You give short responses when necessary. However, this person just won't stop talking. Stay with me. I'm going somewhere with this setup. Remember, this is about relationships. A relationship is just a state of being connected. The moment you responded to this person's conversation, you became connected on a casual level. You might never see this person again. But for the time that you engage this person, there is a connection. The question is, what are you going to learn about yourself from the encounter? You look forward and you realize that you're going to be in this line for a long time. What do you do? That's your choice. All I know is that what you do is an indicator of your level of spiritual maturity. In other words, you can only give what you have. If you have patience, you'll be patient. If you have compassion, you'll be compassionate. If you have joy, you'll be joyful. If you have tact, you'll be tactful. If you have love, you'll be loving.

The goal is to become your highest self; and this is only accomplished through mindful relationships. Relationships help us to identify our strengths and weaknesses. They allow us opportunities to grow by moving us from fear to love when we're open to truth.

The purpose of this message is to bring your awareness to how you interact with your connections on a spiritual level. Take this and apply it to every type of relationship in your life, and I believe you'll enjoy more elevated relationships.

I look forward to meeting you back here next week. Stay connected!

By the way, do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ? I'm just asking...😊

About My Blog...

Greetings! You might be wondering why I decided to blog here. Maybe not. But, if you were wondering, and even if you weren't, please allow me to introduce myself as, LifeStyleMusingsWithGrandmaNina. I know, such a long way to just say, "here's what's on my mind". I think it takes about the same amount of time to say both. Anyway, LifeStyleMusingsWithGrandmaNina sounds more interesting, don't you think? Thinking is good. It's good for the soul. In fact, we become by thinking. Pretty cool, huh? That means you're just thoughts away from a new reality. Am I getting too deep? I do that sometimes.😊 Here's one for you. If you can say it, that's not it. Who said that? Okay, I'll get back to why I'm blogging here. Well, I just want to reach more people. You know, it is possible that I'm helping in some way. I know that there are many other bloggers blogging about life. I also know that each one of us has been assigned our own unique sphere of influence. I reach those who recognize my voice. It's quite strategic how God has all of this planned. I reach you. You get blessed. You share with your family and friends. We increase together. Sounds good to me.

What can I tell you about myself? You probably guessed that I'm a grandmother. I'm also a wife, pastor, teacher, author, certified holistic health practitioner, and doula. I have other titles, as well, but you get the gist. So, being the multifaceted individual that I am, I have many interests as it relates to living life to the fullest. I believe that there must be an alignment of the spirit, soul, and body for true health and wellness. That means that the appropriate amount of attention must be given to each level of our being. That being said, depending on the many factors that determine my content, when you read my blogs, you'll discover my musings about life. Just my opinion, unless, of course, I'm quoting Scripture. Don't get nervous, I won't be collecting an offering.😂 No preaching here. I hope you'll also comment with your own musings, or even questions. Let's keep the thoughts flowing.

Live your highest life!

Health Benefits of Gratefulness

Greetings! This is a great time to focus on the holistic benefits of gratefulness. Gratefulness is appreciation. It is thankfulness. A Biblical proverb even says that it is like medicine. That ought to get your attention. If being grateful leads to a healthier life, I'm sure you want to practice it on a daily basis. So, let me share with you a few things I've learned about being in a state of gratefulness. Studies prove that gratefulness improves your quality of sleep, which is necessary for health. It is during sleep that the inner workings of our bodies go through the processes of restoration, rejuvenation, refreshing, healing, and more.

Gratefulness also reduces stress levels. It's difficult to be stressed when you focus on your blessings. I've learned that it is helpful for me to search for the good in everything I experience, even if it's not what I want to be experiencing. For instance, maybe the reason that relationship ended is because it no longer serves who you are in this season of your life. Maybe the diagnosis will motivate you to make lifestyle changes that create optimum health. Perhaps being terminated from your job will cause you to finally start the business you've been dreaming of for so long.

Gratefulness increases your energy level and reduces pain. This benefit will eliminate the excuses for not exercising. I believe that gratefulness combined with exercise can be life changing, as exercise has immense health benefits that mirror the benefits of gratefulness.

Gratefulness improves relationships. I think you would agree that it's easier to enjoy being with people who have a positive attitude. A positive attitude promotes an atmosphere of joy and peace and love. This type of atmosphere allows for authentic expression. In other words, the vibes of grateful people have an impact on how comfortable we feel being ourselves in their presence.

Gratefulness leads to more smiles. All it takes is a smile to boost your immune system. A strong immune system helps to keep you from being susceptible to the myriad of bacteria, viruses, and other unwanted organisms that we encounter daily. So, smile😊, be grateful, and watch what happens. What are you grateful for today? Share this with your family and friends so that they can post what they're grateful for in the comments section, as well. I hope the relaxing scene in this video will allow you to focus on your abundant blessings...

Essential Oils

Greetings! I've been using essential oils since the early 90s. It doesn't seem that long ago, but it's been about 25 years since I discovered the awesome power of essential oils. As you'll hear in the video, I use essential oils on a daily basis. I literally mean that essential oils are a part of my lifestyle each day in some way. Essential oils are excellent for natural health and beauty care. They can be added to your skin and hair products, such as lotions and shampoos, for additional benefits. They add nutrients and flavors to foods. They are great for boosting the scents and effectiveness of house cleaning products. I add the oils to my unscented laundry detergent. I blend formulas for air freshening and purifying. Of course, there are many more creative ways to safely use essential oils. How do you use essential oils?

Clothing and Accessories as Calling Cards

I don't know about you, but I believe that our clothing and accessories to some degree communicate our frame of mind. And being the multifaceted human beings that we are, many of us have different styles of clothing to match our moods. Of course, our fashion is determined by our daily activities, as well. We have outfits for home, work, worship services, exercise, casual events, special events, and other occasions. However, even our choices for these activities are based on how we are thinking at that particular time. So, it's always very interesting to review our photos from past seasons. Sometimes, we may even wonder what we could have been thinking to wear that ensemble.

Our outward appearance serves as a calling card, if you will, that speaks even before we add voice to our thoughts. That said, we should be mindful of the messages we are sending. That doesn't mean we need to compromise our individuality. On the contrary, it means that we should take every opportunity to allow what's in the inner to manifest on the outer. Allow your creative unique style of clothing and accessories to express to the world who you are, even if you never say a word. Let your style say you're comfortable in your own skin. Be elegant, be free, be casual, be athletic, be sporty, be fancy, be creative, be plain, be simple, be preppy.
Be You!
A comfortable outfit I wore a few weeks ago to spend time in the park with my grandchildren. They were late. I didn't mind waiting. They're worth it!
